In honour of its 20th anniversary, UZCARD continues to actively develop charitable initiatives, one of which was the construction of a new playground for young patients of the Republican Children’s Psychoneurological Hospital named after U.K. Kurbanov in Tashkent.
The Republican Children’s Psychoneurological Hospital named after U.K. Kurbanov is the only specialized institution in Uzbekistan where children from all regions of the country receive free comprehensive medical care for cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy and autism.
The playground was designed jointly with the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek Society for the Disabled, taking into account all safety requirements and adapted for children undergoing treatment, and made of natural materials. The play area is designed for comfortable and safe recreation, where young patients can play, develop and feel themselves in an atmosphere of care and coziness.
“Our mission at UZCARD is to show social responsibility and be close to those who are in particular need of support. This playground is a symbol of our care, love and desire to give joy to children who are going through difficult trials. Let laughter and joy resound here – they are what make this world a kinder place,” – said UCMG CEO, David Melikidze.

In honour of its anniversary, the company has implemented a number of charitable initiatives aimed at helping people or organisations in need, including:
– UZCARD Avlod programme, which provided 10 grants to talented students from universities such as TUIT, WIUT and MDIST;
– Equipping three regional schools in Namangan, Bukhara and Surkhandarya with computer labs. This project is aimed at creating modern conditions for children’s education;
– Transfer of Braille notebooks for writing and reading by blind and visually impaired people to the specialised boarding school for blind children No. 77 in Tashkent, which helps to create an inclusive educational environment;
– Financing surgeries for 10 children from low-income families suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
