UZCARD becomes a partner of ICPC Uzbekistan 2025

The company sponsored the prize pool for the ICPC Uzbekistan 2025 quarterfinals — a major collegiate competitive-programming contest held on 2 November with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, and ITPU.

A total of 202 teams from 32 universities—over 600 participants—competed in the quarterfinals.

Within a strict time limit, teams had to solve multiple algorithmic and programming problems. To advance, contestants were required to demonstrate analytical thinking, teamwork, and effective role and time management.

Based on the results, the quarterfinal winners earned the right to represent Uzbekistan at the Central Asia Semifinal 2025.

Quarterfinal finalists of ICPC Uzbekistan:

  1. Tashkent University of Humanities, team — “Unexpected Ones”.
  2. Tashkent University of Information Technologies, team — “Don’t Panic”.
  3. New Uzbekistan University, team — “Three Dinosaurs”.

As a tournament partner, UZCARD provided the prize fund for the winners: iPad Pro 11, iPhone 16, and Apple Watch SE10 for the first-, second-, and third-place teams respectively.

UZCARD experts also delivered talks at the event:

Shukhrat Ochilov — Director of the Operations Department;

Akmaljon Sodikov — Head of the Information Security & Data Protection Department.

Kamola Sabitova — Junior Talent Acquisition & Development Specialist.

The speakers shared the company’s experience in digital technologies, cybersecurity, and the development of payment infrastructure, and announced the launch of Intern Academy by UZCARD.

The partnership with ICPC continues UZCARD’s strategic cooperation with IT Park Uzbekistan aimed at advancing IT education and supporting young talent. The initiative reflects the company’s commitment to contributing to the growth of the IT sector and nurturing the next generation of professionals who will drive Uzbekistan’s fintech industry forward.

ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) — is the world’s leading collegiate programming competition, held for over 45 years. It consists of multiple stages—from national qualifiers to the World Finals, where the best university teams (including MIT, Harvard, Tsinghua and ETH Zurich) compete. The 2025 World Finals took place in Baku, with partners including Huawei, JetBrains, Google DeepMind and OpenAI.
