The Hamroh Biznes Maktabi educational programme, delivered by the HAMROH Women’s Entrepreneurship Development Programme in partnership with the ALPHA educational platform and supported by the UZCARD payment system, is continuing to expand across the regions and is entering a new phase. The initiative aims to support women entrepreneurs, develop practical business skills and create additional opportunities for launching and scaling up their own businesses.
The project was launched in March 2026 in Nukus, coinciding with the opening of HAMROH’s first branch and the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between HAMROH, ALPHA and UZCARD. The creation of the programme was an important step in expanding women’s access to high-quality business education, expert support and modern tools for running a business.
Today, the first cohort of the programme in Nukus has been successfully completed. Participants underwent intensive training in key areas: market analysis, marketing, financial planning, team management, personal brand development and strategic business scaling. At the end of the course, they presented their own projects at the final defence, demonstrating their readiness to apply the knowledge gained in practice.
“We are delighted to support the Hamroh Biznes Maktabi initiative, which helps women enter the entrepreneurial environment with confidence. For UZCARD, participation in such educational projects is an important part of our strategy to develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem and improve financial literacy. We believe that each of the participants will not only be able to successfully implement their business ideas but also create new opportunities for the region’s economic development,” emphasised representatives of UZCARD.
The next stage in the initiative’s development will be to expand the project’s geographical reach: the organisers have announced a new intake, with the next cohort of Hamroh Biznes Maktabi taking place in Tashkent. In this way, the programme is gradually moving beyond the confines of a single region and establishing itself as a scalable educational platform supporting women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.
“The completion of the first Hamroh Biznes Maktabi cohort in Nukus marked an important step in our work to develop women’s entrepreneurship across the regions. We aim not simply to impart knowledge, but to help participants build sustainable businesses and support them in the next stages. In partnership with UZCARD and ALPHA, we have succeeded in creating a format that has already proven its effectiveness and will be scaled up to other regions of the country,” shared HAMROH
“For us, training is first and foremost about people. The first cohort brought together 28 women from a wide variety of industries: bakery production, the restaurant business, eco-bag manufacturing, cosmetology, dentistry and tourism. But what unites them all is a thirst for new knowledge. Everyone’s level of motivation was off the charts. We can see that the programme is in demand and genuinely needed. And we are delighted that, in partnership with HAMROH and UZCARD, we have the opportunity to roll it out across the whole country,” added representatives from ALPHA.
For UZCARD, participation in the programme is part of a consistent strategy to develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem and improve financial literacy among the population. The company supports projects that help women enter the business environment with greater confidence, develop sustainable companies and create new jobs.
