With UZCARD Support, the Next Stage of CyberWeek 2.0 Will Take Place in Namangan

The implementation of CyberWeek 2.0 continues in Uzbekistan. This joint initiative is aimed at improving the population’s digital literacy, preventing cyber fraud, and fostering a culture of safe use of digital financial services. Since 2025, the project has been carried out consistently across various regions of the country, bringing together the efforts of government agencies, the financial sector, and technology companies to strengthen cybersecurity.

The next stage of CyberWeek 2.0 will take place on July 8–9 in Namangan. On the first day, a specialized seminar for representatives of the banking sector will be held at the venue of the Namangan Regional Internal Affairs Department. Participants will discuss modern cyber threats, customer protection methods, the development of antifraud approaches, and practical tools for countering digital fraud.

On July 9, the educational program will continue with a seminar for representatives of the mahalla system. The main focus will be on improving the population’s digital literacy, protecting personal and payment data, as well as the most common fraud schemes and ways to prevent them.

The event will be moderated by Botirjon Shokamolov, Deputy Director for Information Security at UZCARD. Speakers from the payment system will also include Nigora Azizxodjaeva, Head of the Information Interaction Department; Sabina Batirshina, Head of PR & CSR; and Ihtiyor Ismailov, Head of the Information Security Incident Monitoring and Analysis Department. They will share practical recommendations on the safe use of digital financial services and discuss modern approaches to protecting users from cyber threats.

“The development of the digital economy is impossible without fostering a culture of safe use of digital services. That is why UZCARD consistently supports educational initiatives aimed at improving the population’s digital literacy. By joining efforts with government agencies, the banking community, and technology partners, we strive to make modern financial services not only convenient, but also as safe as possible for every user,” noted Botirjon Shokamolov, Deputy Director for Information Security at UZCARD.

CyberWeek 2.0 continues to bring together representatives of government institutions, financial organizations, and the expert community around a common goal: improving the population’s digital literacy and developing sustainable skills for the safe use of digital technologies. The consistent implementation of the project across the regions helps strengthen the culture of cybersecurity and raise public awareness of modern digital threats.
