On July 8, 2026, the next regional stage of CyberWeek 2.0 started in Namangan. CyberWeek 2.0 is a joint initiative of UZCARD, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Association of Mahallas, implemented to improve the population’s digital literacy, promote a culture of safe use of digital financial services and counter modern cyber threats.
For the second year, CyberWeek 2.0 has been bringing together government agencies, the financial sector and the expert community, creating a platform for sharing experience, discussing current cybersecurity issues and raising public awareness of modern digital fraud schemes.
The first day of the program, held in Namangan on July 8–9, took place at the venue of the Namangan Regional Department of Internal Affairs and was dedicated to cybersecurity in the financial sector. The event was attended by representatives of commercial banks, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and information security specialists.
“Effective counteraction against digital fraud is impossible without close cooperation between the banking sector, government agencies and the payment system. Alongside the development of technological protection mechanisms, prevention, timely informing of citizens and raising their awareness of modern fraud schemes are of particular importance. It is this comprehensive approach that makes the digital environment safer for every user,” said Nigora Azizxodjaeva, Head of the Information Cooperation Department at UZCARD.
During the seminar, participants discussed modern cyber threats, customer protection methods, the development of antifraud approaches, mechanisms for identifying fraudulent transactions, as well as practical tools for preventing and suppressing such crimes.
“Modern fraud schemes are constantly evolving, which is why supporting educational projects and preventing cybercrime remain among the key areas of our work. It is especially important not only to respond to such crimes in a timely manner, but also to develop citizens’ safe behavior skills in the digital environment. Initiatives such as CyberWeek 2.0 help raise public awareness and reduce the risk of becoming a victim of fraudsters,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan emphasized.
UZCARD was represented at the event by:
- Head of the Information Cooperation Department — Nigora Azizxodjaeva

“CyberWeek 2.0 is an initiative that brings together government agencies, the financial sector and the expert community to build a cybersecurity culture and disseminate knowledge about modern cyber threats. Only joint efforts will make it possible to effectively counter new fraud schemes and improve the level of user protection,” said Botirjon Shokamolov, Deputy Director for Information Security at UZCARD and moderator of the project.
