UZCARD has supported a promising social initiative to revive the region of the Aral Sea and has become a participant in the program to preserve the ecosystem of the Aral Sea. An agreement was signed between UZCARD and the project initiator, the UNDP, for the planting of 2,000 saxaul saplings.
The planting of desert plants at the bottom of the Aral Sea is a promising program that will have several positive outcomes. As the plants grow, they will help stabilize the soil, halt the spread of salts and sands, and make the surrounding environment healthier and more prosperous for the local residents. Additionally, the favorable microclimate will provide an active start for the development of animal and plant life in the protected zone.
UZCARD’s activities are socially oriented and are built not only with the goal of improving the quality of products and services in the financial technology sector, but also with a sense of responsibility towards society and the environment, upon which the quality of life for both present and future generations depend. The decision by UZCARD to help change the situation in the region was actively supported by the company’s employees, who initiated direct participation in greening the area at the bottom of the Aral Sea.
