On March 30, 2022, at the head office of UZCARD, Tashkent, a large press conference was held on the topic “Your instant UZCARD”, dedicated to familiarizing the public with a new service that allows banks today to issue instantly UZCARD plastic cards for their customers.
Common republican processing center LLC held a large-scale event in its office, inviting guests, among whom were representatives of banks participating in the UZCARD payment system, international payment systems, as well as media and bloggers from all over the republic, to present and get acquainted with the personalization service and instant issue of a new type of UZCARD plastic cards.
The UZCARD payment system has a 17-year history and this history has different milestones of development, introduction and implementation of numerous technological projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan. And today the company shares its achievement and reaching the next level of customer service and access to a new consumer experience through embossed UZCARD cards with support of contactless payment using NFC technology, and most importantly, instantly issued UZCARD cards.
During the event, representatives of UZCARD highlighted the service for the distributed issue of plastic cards, which the company offers to its participating banks, which allows organizing instant issue of cards in bank branches. At the same time, it was noted that the personalization process from the moment the client contacts the bank to the moment the card is issued and activated takes about 5 minutes. In other words, a person no longer needs to come to the bank twice to apply for and receive a card, the client can immediately pick up his UZCARD card on the day of application and start financial transactions.
The UZCARD team continues to take care of its customers through the participating banks of the payment system, providing a variety of product lines in terms of card products such as: a new type of local UZCARD, UZCARD-UnionPay, UZCARD-Mastercard and UZCARD-“Mir” co-badged cards, as well as developing its POS and ATM infrastructure for accepting contactless payments and performing other transactions using cards with the NFC technology. With the same cards, you can freely pay for trips in public transport with one touch.
Representatives of Mastercard international payment system and “Mir” national Russian payment system, partner banks – JSC “National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, JSC “Asakabank”, JSCB “ASIA ALLIANCE BANK” also took part in the press conference as speakers. The speakers from the banks reported on successful implementation of the distributed issue service in their branches and branches of banks, shared information on conditions for obtaining and issuing new cards. Representatives of payment systems highly appreciated cooperation with UZCARD and spoke about the possibilities and advantages of using co-badged cards.
After the speeches, the speakers answered questions from media representatives. The conference was accompanied by a visual demonstration of the process of embossing a new type of cards on the equipment of Entrust Datacard 840CE model from Entrust, a recognized world leader in the field of digital security.
