UZCARD is launching a project to improve the financial literacy of children and teenagers

The company has announced the start of the UZCARD Kids project, aimed at helping the younger generation develop essential personal finance management skills and cultivate entrepreneurial thinking. The UZCARD Kids concept combines learning with entertainment to engage young people in the topic of finance and immerse them in the educational process. As part of the project, the company has created two board games tailored to different age groups:

  • “Financial Code: Who Am I?” – a game designed for children aged 6 and above, introducing them to basic financial terms in a fun and engaging way.
  • “Business Code” – a business simulator for teenagers aged 12 and above, where each participant can try their hand at being an entrepreneur, starting their own business, and making it successful.

The games will be distributed free of charge by banks and project partners and will also be given away through the UZCARD Kids blog on social media. On the @uzcardkids channels on Instagram, YouTube, and Telegram, children and their parents can learn the basics of financial planning, personal finance management, and investing in an entertaining format. In early September, the premiere of an animated series about the adventures of two friends and a UZCARD card will take place, where viewers will learn what money is, how it is earned, saved, and spent.

The financial literacy project is timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of UZCARD, which the company will celebrate on October 14. From September 1 to December 31, parents in five banks across Uzbekistan can open a UZCARD children’s card in addition to their own. Participating banks include Anorbank, Garant Bank, Poytaxt Bank, Microcredit Bank, and Ipoteka Bank.

Hilola Suleymanova, Director of Human Resources, Public Relations, and Corporate Social Responsibility at UZCARD, emphasized the importance of the project for the company: “Financial literacy helps children and teenagers adapt to the modern world and confidently build their future. The UZCARD Kids project is UZCARD’s contribution to developing a sustainable and economically literate society, where every child has access to the knowledge necessary for a prosperous life.”
