UZCARD—the national payment system of Uzbekistan and a member of the UCMG Group—won the “Care” category at the fourth annual CSR Ball AmCham 2025, held on November 10 at the InterContinental Tashkent.
The joint initiative of UZCARD and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan received high marks from the CSR Ball AmCham 2025 jury. The project aims to raise digital literacy and foster a culture of safe online behavior, uniting the efforts of government, business, and society.
Within the project, training seminars and press conferences were held in Fergana, Samarkand, Nukus, and Bukhara, bringing together hundreds of participants and generating millions of views across media and social networks. In addition, UZCARD implemented a set of educational initiatives: released a series of videos on cyber fraud, launched the Fintech GAP podcast featuring law-enforcement experts and fintech professionals, and presented “Fraudsters,” a mini-series that is the first Uzbek-language media project in Uzbekistan devoted to digital literacy.
“This project has evolved into a genuine educational movement focused on building a cybersecurity culture and strengthening trust in digital payment services. Going forward, the UZCARD team plans to expand the program’s geography and introduce new training formats,” emphasized Nurjau Bolatbek, Deputy General Director for Information Security at UCMG LLC.
Recognition at CSR Ball AmCham 2025 reaffirmed UZCARD’s leadership in advancing responsible initiatives and shaping a secure digital ecosystem in Uzbekistan.
