UZCARD is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the football tournament among the banks of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which took place at the “Bunyodkor” stadium in Tashkent. This event became a bright example of bringing together sports enthusiasts from the banking sector of the country and an important step in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The tournament, which started in mid-September of this year, brought together 27 teams from various banks and became a true celebration of football spirit. Over the course of the competition, 47 matches were played, during which the teams demonstrated not only their skills but also team spirit, scoring 165 goals. On October 19, the final match of the tournament was held between the teams of NBU and Trastbank.
In the first half, no goals were scored — the teams were evenly matched. In the second half, Trastbank player Rasulov, under number 7, scored a goal. After the goal, NBU increased their attacks. Near the end of the second half, following a prolonged attack, NBU player Yuldoshev, number 12, scored a goal. All the players and fans of NBU rejoiced. The regular time ended with a score of 1:1, and the teams prepared for a penalty shootout. Both teams were worthy of the championship title, but this time luck was on NBU’s side. The penalty shootout ended with a score of 5:4 in favor of NBU.

Sports unite, and such tournaments will contribute to the development of friendship and mutual understanding between financial institutions.
The cups for the top three teams were awarded by UCMG CEO Davit Melikidze, First Vice President of the Uzbekistan Football Association Ravshan Irmatov, and General Director of the Professional Football League Diyorbek Imomkhujaev.
