UZCARD Supports the International Biennale in Bukhara

UZCARD payment system is one of the sponsors of the Bukhara Biennale, a key cultural event of 2025 in Central Asia, taking place from September 5 to November 20 in the historic center of Bukhara.

For the first time in Uzbekistan’s history, the international biennale will bring together over 400 participants from 39 countries, including artists, curators, researchers, and representatives of cultural institutions. The theme of the event, “Recipes for Broken Hearts”, explores the intersections of art, crafts, gastronomy, and emotional experience through the unique lens of the East.

Supporting the biennale reflects UZCARD’s strategic commitment to sustainable, progressive, and culturally significant initiatives.

“For us, partnering with the Bukhara Biennale is a contribution to the country’s cultural development and recognition of art as a unifying force. Bukhara is a space of multilayered memory. We believe that art and technology can move in the same direction — toward development, openness, and respect for identity. UZCARD is proud to be part of this important story,” – said David Melikidze, CEO of the UCMG group of companies.

Among the biennale events are exhibitions in historical buildings, gastronomic laboratories, workshops, discussion platforms, as well as educational and inclusive programs. UZCARD’s support will focus on implementing social initiatives within the project.

The Bukhara Biennale is held with the organizational support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan.
