On 2 and 3 October 2025, UZCARD, with the support of its partners AloqaBank and the educational platform finlit.uz, held a series of interactive lessons on financial and cyber literacy for schoolchildren in Tashkent.
The project was part of a large-scale initiative aimed at developing a conscious attitude towards money and digital security among young people.
More than 300 students from School No. 225 and the Eureka Educational Institution took part in the classes. UZCARD specialists explained to the children how the modern financial world works, why it is important to know how to manage money, and how to protect themselves from digital threats.
The programme covered three key areas:
- Financial literacy: schoolchildren learned how to plan their personal budgets, understand their expenses and set financial goals.
- How the payment ecosystem works: experts showed how payment systems differ from banks and explained how these elements interact in everyday life.
- Cybersecurity: special attention was paid to data protection, recognising online fraud, and rules for safe online behaviour.
Interactive presentations, real-life examples, and short game-based tasks made the training engaging and memorable.
The lessons were conducted by UZCARD experts who combine technical and educational expertise:
Aliyev Giyosjon and Ibrohimov Sunnatilla, product managers,
Ruhsarahon Rustamhodjaeva, community manager of the UZCARD KIDS project,
Botirjon Shokamolov, Deputy Director of Information Security,
Samandar Akromov, Chief Specialist of the Information Security Department.
To reinforce the material, the lessons ended with mini-games on financial topics. The most active participants received prizes from UZCARD KIDS — board games “Financial Code: Who Am I?‘ and ’Business Code,” which help children learn the basic principles of money management in a playful way.
The educational programme is part of UZCARD’s long-term strategy to improve financial literacy and digital security among the younger generation.
