UZCARD: growth of non-cash payments in transport is being observed

For the last months of the current year there is a significant growth of non-cash payments in the transport infrastructure throughout the country. Especially noticeable is the increase in the number of transactions with UZCARD cards in public transportation. Such changes occurred due to the UZCARD campaign “Manzillar yaqinroq”, within the framework of which the residents of the regions received a fare discount when paying with UZCARD cards.

UZCARD analyzed the “Manzillar yaqinroq” campaign, which started on May 1, 2024. According to the data, from May to October this year in Andijan region the volume of non-cash payments in transport increased by an impressive 111%. In Termez the growth amounted to an impressive 29 times since the beginning of the year.
