Build a Career in Fintech with UZCARD

UZCARD announces the launch of an internship program for 3rd- and 4th-year students, master’s students, and university graduates. The program aims to attract young, high-potential employees to the UZCARD team. Interns will be able to immerse themselves in their chosen professions, gaining the necessary professional knowledge, skills, and experience. The most successful interns will have the opportunity to become company employees.

“The scope of UZCARD’s activities is extensive – from developing and improving products in the national payment business to modernizing modern service, and expanding services in the fintech and IT industries. Staff training programs are an important part of the company’s social policy. The internship will provide participants with a good career start and a chance to join one of the largest companies in the country. They will have the opportunity to integrate into a professional team, showcase their abilities, and develop the necessary skills and competencies in one of the most promising fields today. It is very important to support graduates at the entry stage, engage them, and show that there is something to strive for,” said acting CEO Olim Zakirov.

How to Join the Internship?

It’s quite simple. First, you need to send your contact details to the provided email and wait for a call from a company representative. After the call, candidates will be invited to the UZCARD office for a general meeting, where more details about the company and the internship program will be shared.

How Long Does the Internship Last?

The internship can last from 3 to 6 months. The company offers a flexible schedule to comfortably combine the internship with studies. The fields in which internships are offered include IT, information security, software development, database administration, network administration, marketing, HR, and others.

What Do Interns Gain During the Internship?

Alongside theoretical knowledge through training and workshops, all candidates get the chance to work on and solve real business cases that the UZCARD team encounters daily. To ensure the internship is as productive as possible, each intern is assigned a mentor who coordinates the entire process from start to finish.

What is the Final Stage of the Internship?

At the end of the internship, interns prepare a final presentation and present it to a special commission. The final evaluation is based on the results of the entire internship, identifying the top-performing candidates. The best interns will receive job offers from the company. Full-time students will be offered part-time positions (0.5 or 0.75 FTE) during their free time from studies.

The pilot internship program at UZCARD was first launched in 2022 for the HR Department in two areas: “Training and Development” and “Recruiting”. To date, the strongest graduates of the internship have become important parts of the team and are achieving excellent results. Here are some of their impressions:

“The internship at UZCARD helped me gain practical experience. Now I easily create programs and training content for both soft and hard skills,” shared Lyudmila Batyrova, Training and Development Specialist, master’s student at Webster University.

“The internship exceeded all my expectations! It was indeed a fruitful time that I spent usefully. I learned how to conduct competency-based interviews, screen resumes, and handle business communications with potential candidates. The knowledge I gained helps me greatly in further developing in this field,” said Yulduz Alijonova, recruiter, 4th-year student at the National University of Uzbekistan.

You can apply for an internship at UZCARD now by sending your contact details to the email career@uzcard.uz, indicating in the subject line that it is an internship application.
