UZCARD and the Ministry of Internal Affairs launch screening of the Kazakh TV series “Fraudsters” as part of the campaign to combat cyber fraud

The screening of the series will start on July 14, 2025 on the KINOTEATR TV channel.

UZCARD in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan is implementing an initiative to increase the level of digital and financial security of the population. As part of the project, UZCARD acquired the rights to show the TV series “Fraudsters” by Kazakh filmmakers – a striking example of combining a quality movie product with an important social agenda.

“Fraudsters” – a crime series based on real schemes of telephone and digital fraud. The plot centers on the activities of a criminal group using modern methods of manipulation, number substitution and psychological influence on victims. Each episode of the series is a story that can not only capture attention, but also warn the viewer of possible threats.

The series has been recognized by viewers and the professional community: in 2023, it was awarded the “Тұмар” Award for Best TV Series of the Year.

Building a culture of cybersecurity is not just about technology, but also about public awareness. Today, as digital threats become part of everyday life, it is important to speak to people in a language they understand. We see the series “Fraudsters” as part of our long-term strategy to raise digital awareness, because through life stories and emotional involvement we want to convey the key principles of safe behavior. Such projects help not just to inform, but to change attitudes towards digital hygiene issues at the level of the whole country,” says Nurzhau Bolatbek, Deputy General Director for IT Security at UCMG LLC (Uzcard Management Group).

The project demonstrates the commitment of UZCARD and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the formation of a sustainable culture of cyber security. In the context of growing digital risks, it is especially important not only to develop innovative services, but also to strengthen the information protection of citizens.

The launch of the TV series is part of a broad educational campaign implemented by UZCARD in various formats: from media and social networks to offline events and educational programs.
