UZCARD has entered into a partnership agreement with Sber500 accelerator to develop the venture capital market in the Republic of Uzbekistan. As part of the agreement, the parties agreed to implement joint initiatives to develop the startup ecosystem and assist in attracting venture capital investments to the country.
In addition, the deadline of applying for the fourth wave of Sber500 international accelerator which is being conducted by Sber together with 500 Global (an American venture company and fund), has been extended until February 14 inclusive specifically for Uzbekistan startups.
Participation in Sber500 international accelerator is an opportunity to launch a pilot and scale the solution in Sber ecosystem and in the Russian market as a whole, gain experience from mentors from all over the world and attract investments, including from Fort Ross Ventures (USA) and UZCARD Ventures corporate venture fund.
The acceleration program is designed for 10 weeks and will be held in a hybrid format: a bootcamp for 500 startups and the Growth Hacking stage for 50 startups will be held online, and the final stage, involving individual work with 500 Global mentors, will be offline in Moscow.
Graduates of the previous three waves have already raised over $10M and signed over 2,000 contracts with Sber and accelerator partners.
