In 2004, as Uzbekistan was just beginning to explore the limitless possibilities of digital technologies, UZCARD lit its first spark in the world of financial services and cashless payments. In honor of UZCARD’s 20th anniversary, we decided to move away from traditional celebrations and raise the bar by doing something truly meaningful and productive. Instead of festivities, we have chosen a path that will have long-term significance. We are investing in the future – in the education and development of youth. This investment is not only in their personal well-being but also in the well-being of society and our country as a whole, as we believe that the knowledge and skills acquired by the younger generation today will shape the future of tomorrow.
Our commitment to the education and development of youth is expressed not only through words but also through concrete actions. To encourage talented youth, we have already launched the “UZCARD AVLOD” project, which grants scholarships to 10 students. These scholarships will cover one year’s tuition fees at universities, funded by UZCARD. In addition to tuition, students are also guaranteed paid internships at UZCARD.
Another project launched under the banner of our 20th anniversary is equipping computer classrooms in three regional schools. In this era of technological progress, no child should be left behind, deprived of the opportunity to develop computer skills. To achieve this goal, we have purchased computers, printers, and related equipment to supply schools in remote areas of our country.
Another educational initiative has been the procurement and donation of Braille notebooks for writing to a specialized boarding school for blind children, School No. 77. This important initiative by UZCARD aims to provide children with disabilities the opportunity to receive a full and quality education. Using such notebooks not only improves the learning process but also fosters independence and self-confidence in visually impaired children. This initiative is a crucial step toward creating an inclusive educational environment where every child has equal opportunities to learn and grow.
Another project, launched in honor of UZCARD’s 20th anniversary, is covering the cost of heart surgeries for 10 children from low-income families in cooperation with Akfa Medline Medical Center. This project aims to support children from disadvantaged families suffering from heart conditions. We understand that life is the most valuable thing we have, and we consider it our duty to help those in need. Our goal is not only to support educational initiatives but also to contribute to the health and well-being of children. We are sincerely pleased to be able to financially assist these children and their families, and we hope that our initiative will make the world a slightly better place.
Another planned project in celebration of our company’s anniversary is the construction of a children’s playground on the grounds of the Republican Children’s Neuropsychiatric Hospital named after U.K. Kurbanov. This playground will not just be a place for games but a corner of joy where young patients can forget their worries and dive into a world of imagination and fun. We understand how important it is for children to have a space where they can play, socialize, and develop freely. The specially equipped playground will be entirely safe and adapted to meet the needs of our little heroes. We believe that such an initiative will help lift the spirits of these children.
