On December 19, the UZCARD AWARD 2025 ceremony was held in Tashkent at the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre. This professional award recognizes the achievements of participants in Uzbekistan’s payment market. The event brought together representatives of the banking sector and fintech companies that have made a significant contribution to the development of cashless payments and the country’s digital financial infrastructure.
UZCARD AWARD serves as an industry platform for summarizing annual results and highlighting key transformations taking place within the payment ecosystem. The award focuses not only on individual products and projects, but also on systemic changes shaping the modern cashless payments market in Uzbekistan.
The ceremony featured several award blocks covering various segments of the payment ecosystem. In 2025, UZCARD AWARD nominations reflected the industry’s priority development areas, including modernization of ATM and POS acquiring, development of payment infrastructure, implementation of digital and technological solutions, advancement of card products — including SHERDOR premium cards — contributions to fintech workforce development, as well as projects aimed at improving the accessibility, reliability and quality of cashless services, including cross-border transfer solutions and intersystem integration.
Awards were presented to market participants who demonstrated sustainable performance, a high level of customer service and a systematic approach to the development of payment solutions. Special attention was given to initiatives facilitating the scaling of digital services, the development of regional partnerships — including cooperation with the national payment system Elkart (Kyrgyzstan) — and the overall strengthening of the payment ecosystem.
David Melikidze, CEO of UCMG:
«UZCARD AWARD is both a summary of the year and an expression of gratitude to our partners who, together with us, are developing the country’s payment infrastructure. We highly appreciate the contribution of the banking community and payment organizations to the development of user-oriented services. Next year, we plan to expand the format of interaction and hold an International UZCARD Forum with the participation of international partners and industry experts».
UZCARD AWARD acts as a professional platform that unites market participants around shared values — technological development, openness to partnership and a strong user focus. The award results reflect not only the success of individual companies, but also the overall direction of the evolution of Uzbekistan’s payment system.
