Uzcard Express simplifies access to banking services

On June 28, the first Uzcard Express service office was launched in Fergana through which it will be possible to open bank cards, purchase POS terminals, cash out through ATMs, as well as get advice on digital payments. This is a step towards the creation of a full-fledged infrastructure that allows representatives of the “unbanked” segment to connect to the UZCARD ecosystem quickly, conveniently and without the need to visit a bank branch.

Uzcard Express is not just a point of sale, but a compact center where a user can receive a bank card, activate it, learn about available services, connect a terminal for business or ask questions to a specialist. Products of partner banks, terminal equipment and modern payment instruments from ARCA, Smart Business (ex. UZKASSA) and BTECH are presented here.

The first product that became available in express format is Moment card – a banking product designed for instant issuance. It can be obtained in just 5 minutes: identification and activation take place through the application of the partner bank, Universalbank and Davr bank. In the future, the range of offers at the point will be expanded.

The express format implies the presence of a trained team ready to provide support in choosing a product, advise and accompany the user at all stages – from purchase to setup. The point will be equipped with an ATM, multikiosks and a demonstration area for businesses.

Fergana was chosen as a pilot region due to high population density and demand for fast, convenient payment solutions. The opening day will include a demonstration of the connection process, a presentation by UZCARD’s Commercial Director and consultations from the project team. Representatives of the Central Bank, partner organizations, regional media and bloggers are expected to attend.

Uzcard Express project is a new step in the development of payment infrastructure, in which Uzcard and partner banks join forces to make key financial services closer and more accessible to the customer. The format allows not only to simplify access to financial services, but also supports the development of small and micro businesses, stimulating the transition to cashless payments. This approach makes digital tools closer and easier to understand for a wide range of users – without the need to go to a bank or spend time searching for the right solutions.
