On April 17, Leader School hosted the first lecture of the UZCARD KIDS<\/strong> project aimed at improving financial and digital literacy among schoolchildren. On this day, 6th grade pupils not only talked about money, but also learnt how the banking system works, what decisions an adult makes when managing finances, and why security in the digital world is no less important than knowledge of mathematics or history.<\/p>\n

Stanislav Velichko<\/strong>, Head of the Training and Development Department, and Asilkhuja Iskandarkhujaev<\/strong>, Chief Training and Development Specialist, met with the pupils. In a lively and accessible way, they told the children:<\/p>\n

\u2022 about the importance of a competent attitude to pocket money;
\n\u2022 about the role of banks in the country’s economy;
\n\u2022 about safe behavior in the digital environment – from using cards to online shopping;
\n\u2022 and, of course, about what role the national payment system UZCARD<\/strong> plays in all this.<\/p>\n

The lecture ended with an interactive game \u2018Guess the term\u2019, where pupils were able to check how well they had learnt the new knowledge. Through the game children learnt such concepts as \u2018acquiring\u2019, \u2018cashless payment\u2019, \u2018QR code\u2019, and \u2018financial responsibility\u2019.<\/p>\n

UZCARD KIDS<\/strong> project is a part of the company’s big mission to improve financial culture in the country. We believe that knowledge about money and technologies should come to children before their first mistakes. That is why we create adapted formats of board games, interactive classes, educational blogs, videos and so on for them.<\/p>\n

This is just the beginning.
