UZCARD and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the launch of a large-scale information and education campaign aimed at improving digital literacy and protecting citizens from cyber fraud. The programme will cover four regions and will include face-to-face training sessions, a series of videos, podcasts and a competition to create digital security solutions.<\/em><\/p>\n

The initiative aims to create and develop a culture of digital security and cyber hygiene across the country.<\/p>\n

The campaign will provide attendees with practical knowledge on key digital security topics:<\/p>\n

– how to recognise phishing sites and fake payment services<\/p>\n

– how to protect their accounts with complex passwords and two-factor authentication<\/p>\n

– how not to become a victim of social engineering (deception through calls, messages and social networks)<\/p>\n

– how to safely use mobile applications for banking and shopping<\/p>\n

The campaign is expected to reach over one million citizens, including both offline training audiences and users engaged through digital channels.<\/p>\n
