On 4 May, an intellectual game of the same name was held at Zakovat Arena as part of the international Global Money Week 2026 campaign. The event was organized by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the UZCARD payment system.<\/p>\n
Global Money Week is held annually in Uzbekistan under the coordination of the Central Bank and is aimed at improving financial literacy among young people. The campaign brings together educational institutions, banks and financial organizations around a shared objective: to make knowledge about money, digital services and financial security more accessible and practical.<\/p>\n
This year, the educational agenda continued in an interactive format. The participants included financial literacy ambassadors, as well as students of non-economic higher education institutions who had previously completed a financial literacy course. Representatives of more than 30 universities, mainly from the regions of the country, took part in the event. In total, 90 people participated in the game.<\/p>\n
Before the start of the game, an educational session dedicated to personal finance and digital security was held for the participants. The session opened with a presentation by Dilnavoz Narzullaeva, a representative of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who spoke about the significance and objectives of the international Global Money Week campaign. The floor was then given to Muhammadali Obidjonov, a representative of Uzum Bank, who spoke on how to manage financial resources and grow them effectively. As part of the session, Botirjon Shokamolov, Deputy Director for Information Security at UZCARD, also delivered a presentation covering digital literacy, personal data protection and methods for countering fraud.<\/p>\n
The central part of the event was the Zakovat intellectual game. The format allowed participants to test their knowledge in practice, work in teams and discuss solutions under time constraints. The game was active and dynamic: participants proposed answer options, discussed the tasks and reacted enthusiastically to the correct solutions.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor UZCARD, participation in Global Money Week is an opportunity to speak with young people about financial security in a simple and practical language,\u201d UZCARD representatives noted. Today, payment services have become part of everyday life, so it is important for users to understand how to protect their data, recognize fraudulent schemes and use digital tools consciously. The Zakovat format made it possible to combine the educational component with live team interaction and bring this topic closer to students\u201d.<\/p>\n
Performances by invited artists Anvar Juraev and Hamdam Sobirov added a special atmosphere to the event.<\/p>\n
Following the game, the winners and participants were awarded valuable prizes and certificates. The prize fund was formed with the participation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, UZCARD, Ipotekabank OTP Group and Uzum Bank. The winners received laptops, tablets and mobile phones, while the other participants received incentive prizes and certificates of participation.<\/p>\n
UZCARD\u2019s participation in Global Money Week is part of the company\u2019s systematic efforts to develop financial and digital literacy. In previous years, UZCARD, jointly with the Central Bank, implemented educational initiatives for school pupils and university students across the country, aimed at developing skills for the safe and conscious use of payment instruments.<\/p>\n
