Mikrokreditbank is the first bank to issue these cards. Similar initiatives are widely implemented in many developed countries to enhance the efficiency of public expenditure management.<\/p>\n<p>The project is being implemented in accordance with Resolution No. 108 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated February 24, 2025, with coordination and support from the public procurement regulator. The initiative aims to simplify procurement procedures for more than 20,000 public procuring entities.<\/p>\n<p>Under the approved framework, procuring entities may use the procurement card to cover business travel expenses, including accommodation and transportation (air and rail tickets), as well as day-to-day expenses such as meals. The payment instrument can also be used at fuel stations to pay for gasoline, liquefied and compressed gas, diesel fuel, and at electric vehicle charging stations.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the procurement card enables automatic registration of invoices with the treasury, management of spending limits based on MCC codes, and detailed tracking of expenses for each transaction.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the project, UZCARD has developed a dedicated personal dashboard for the public procurement regulator and completed integrations with government digital platforms, including the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan\u2014to obtain electronic fiscal receipts\u2014and the UzASBO system for registering completed procurements.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the procurement card is already being used by the Agency for Management Efficiency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Business Ombudsman of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for ICT Development of the Ministry of Construction, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health, and the National Energy Efficiency Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers.<\/p>\n<p>UZCARD.
