Last year, UZCARD, together with ATTO, launched a transport-bank card \u2014 a new payment product that combines the functionality of a bank card and a transport card in a single instrument.<\/p>\n

The solution allows cardholders to use the card for everyday purchases and banking transactions, as well as to pay public transport fares at special transport tariffs.<\/p>\n

Residents of cities such as Tashkent, Almalyk, Samarkand, Urgench, Bukhara, Andijan, Namangan, Jizzakh, and Gulistan have access to a transfer fare: when transferring within one hour of the first trip, the next trip is offered at a discounted rate.<\/p>\n

Based on the results of the first four months of 2026, the number of payments made with transport-bank cards exceeded 10 million transactions \u2014 almost ten times more than during the same period last year.<\/p>\n

The majority of payments (78%) were made on buses, while the remaining 22% were for metro trips.<\/p>\n

Tashkent continues to account for the largest share of transactions, representing 68% of all payments made with transport-bank cards. At the same time, this figure decreased by 17% compared to last year due to growing card usage in other cities across the country, including Andijan, Samarkand, and Urgench.<\/p>\n

Today, transport-bank cards are issued by 16 banks. For financial institutions, participation in the project provides an opportunity to expand their portfolio of high-demand everyday services, strengthen integration with payroll programs, and increase customer loyalty.<\/p>\n

The growing use of transport-bank cards demonstrates that users are increasingly choosing digital payment methods for public transport and responding positively to services that make travel more convenient. The development of such solutions reflects the broader demand for a modern, user-friendly, and technology-driven transport infrastructure in Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n
