A certificate award ceremony was held in Nukus for participants of the second cohort of Hamroh Biznes Maktabi, an educational programme initiated by HAMROH, implemented jointly with ALPHA and supported by UZCARD.
The Hamroh Biznes Maktabi programme was launched in March 2026 as part of the opening of HAMROH’s first branch and the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between HAMROH, ALPHA and UZCARD. The first cohort of the programme was completed in April, while enrolment for the second cohort opened in the same month. Participation in the programme is free of charge and is conducted on a competitive basis.
The project is aimed at developing women’s entrepreneurship in the regions, supporting aspiring women entrepreneurs and creating a sustainable business environment for women. As part of the programme, participants receive training in key areas of business management and acquire practical knowledge and tools for launching and developing their own businesses.
“It is important for us that every participant of Hamroh Biznes Maktabi leaves not only with a certificate, but also with the confidence that her idea can truly grow into a successful business,” HAMROH noted.
Representatives of UZCARD took part in the certificate award ceremony and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in expanding women’s economic opportunities and developing entrepreneurial activity across the country’s regions.
“The Hamroh Biznes Maktabi initiative is an excellent example of how the joint efforts of business and the financial sector can help women develop their own businesses. UZCARD is proud to support projects that expand women’s economic opportunities,” UZCARD emphasized.
Hamroh Biznes Maktabi continues to build a community of women who are ready to develop their own projects, create jobs and strengthen the role of women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan’s economy.
“For us, this project is about creating an environment where women entrepreneurs can not only gain knowledge, but also find support, exchange experience and grow together. The second cohort brought together 21 women developing projects in a wide range of areas — from local production and healthcare to services, education and crafts. Each participant came with her own story and ambitions, but they are all united by the desire to develop their business and move forward. We are pleased to see such strong interest in the programme and, together with HAMROH and UZCARD, to continue creating opportunities for the development of women’s entrepreneurship across the country,” ALPHA shared.
