UZCARD and the Ministry of Internal Affairs exchanged letters of appreciation following the digital literacy program

A meeting between representatives of the UZCARD payment system and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at UZCARD’s office to mark the completion of the regional phase of the digital literacy program. During the meeting, the parties exchanged letters of appreciation, acknowledging the partners’ contribution to improving the population’s digital literacy and enhancing the country’s level of cybersecurity.

This year, the joint initiative of UZCARD and the MIA covered four regions—Fergana, Samarkand, Nukus, and Bukhara—and brought together more than 1,000 participants, including representatives of government agencies, banks, IT companies, and educational institutions. The program featured seminars, trainings, and conferences where participants gained practical knowledge on personal data protection, secure online payments, and modern methods of combating cyber fraud.

The project has become an important step toward building a safe and modern digital ecosystem in Uzbekistan. It demonstrated that coordinated efforts by the state, business, and society can tangibly transform the culture of digital behavior and foster public confidence in future technologies.
